TBI Database Development (2001-2002)

Based on experiences gained through the previous years, IGEH decided to develop a new TBI patient database. The purpose of this new database is to track and evaluate the treatment process and outcome of patients with severe TBI. It is Web based but copies of collected data will be kept at each local trauma hospital. It offers significant educational potential as well. This new database will be ready for implementation in April 2002. Austria will be the first country to use it with other European countries soon joining on.
